President Javier Milei led a new Cabinet meeting after weeks of turbulence for the government, marked by movements in the "$Libra" case and an investigation that places the head of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni, at the center of the scene for supposed illicit enrichment. According to the Argentine News Agency, it was the libertarian himself who suggested the idea of convening the full Cabinet to give a new gesture of support to the official targeted by the opposition and to regain the management agenda. At 13:27, he left and the head of Cabinet was in charge of coordinating the exchange that ended at 14:17. Accompanying the Milei brothers were the ministers Pablo Quirno (Foreign Relations), Alejandra Monteoliva (Security), Federico Sturzenegger (Deregulation and Transformation of the State), Mario Lugones (Health), Sandra Pettovello (Human Capital), and Diego Santilli (Interior), Luis Caputo (Economy), Juan Bautista Mahiques (Justice) and Carlos Presti (Defense). Also present were the head of the La Libertad Avanza (LLA) bloc in the Senate, Patricia Bullrich; the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem; the Secretary of Legal and Technical Affairs, María Ibarzabal Murphy; and the presidential advisor, Santiago Caputo. An important source revealed that the President's presence was due to the decision to greet Pettovello and Santilli, who turn years old this Monday. The meeting was held after the federal prosecutor, Gerardo Pollicita, requested this Monday a "complete history of domain" of properties linked to the head of Cabinet Manuel Adorni and sent letters to the National Directorate of Migration to expand information related to the official's departures from the country. Likewise, he asked the federal judge Ariel Lijo, in charge of the case, for new measures to deepen the ongoing investigation for possible illicit enrichment. Even during the first part of the meeting, in which he was present, he instructed them to centralize management issues with the coordinating minister. He also made a brief introduction that included his political view, but in particular, details of the economic situation his administration is going through.
